What We Provide

Building Inspections Department

The Tribal Building Code is modeled upon the Florida Building Code. The Florida Building Code is compiled in four references with the National Electric Code adopted by reference. The four volumes are: Building, which includes energy, accessibility and state agency regulations, plumbing, mechanical and fuel gas.

All structures or buildings whether new or rehabilitative shall be designed and constructed based on the location of the reservation within the state of Florida and according to the wind-borne debris region map.

ATTENTION:

All NEW incoming permitting applications SHALL be sent to the Tribal Inspector’s Department by the new implemented digital self-service: https://lmp.semtribe.com/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService
Please avoid sending any documents to personal e-mail addresses (will NOT be processed)

PHYSICALLY SIGNING AND SEALING:

Engineering documents can be hand signed with a pen, dated, and sealed by the Professional Engineer in responsible charge. The seal may be ink stamped, embossed, or a digital image, and placed partially overlapping - but not obscuring your signature. The signature may not be a scanned, facsimile, digitally created, or copied image. https://fbpe.org/legal/signing-and-sealing-engineering-documents/

Submitted building permit applications will be processed in the order in which they are received. When completed, we will email a validated copy of the permit. This copy, along with the original packet that was digitally submitted must be on site at the time of inspections.

When you are on the page select Guest and register (see screen shot below), enter your email address which we have on file. You will then see a message that your request is being reviewed. Once approved you will be able to log in.
